TheCondor
Hi guys, i'm new to the appradio world. I just bough a second hand unit, semi-new, for a good price. Now i wanna connect my old iphone 4 for use the appradio mode and view the navfree app on the screen, i understood that the provided 30pin-usb cable isn't enough and i must buy the CD-IU201N cable. The provided ipod cable has only 4 pin, the D+ D- GND 5V of the standard usb cable, and doesn't have the others pin for the vide out that cannot run over the usb protocol (so that's why the CD-IU201N is made by two cable running parallel). My question is that: can i use one of this adapter 30ping -> HDMI+USB and attach the usb cable to my standard ipod cable provided in the box + hdmi cable directly to the pioneer? Essentially the new lighting interface does exactly that... Anyone tried? Obviously you must config the appradio to the digital video input. http://www.anwarco.com/image/cache/data/products/prosynq/HDMI-CABLE/digitial-av-adapter-02-500x500.jpg this adapter is very cheap and if we wanna change the phone we don't need to remove the unit and pass a new cable, just change this final adapter to the new lightning+hdmi
Cathaldub
I don't think the iPhone4 can output to hdmi even with an adapter it's only for charging or best case audio? The CD-IU201N was shipped in the box with my app radio
