F900BT, intermittent startup help :(.

Recommended Posts

I'm in the UK and I've done the following so far.

The reason I started trying to fix it was because every now and again when I started my car the menu/eject/map buttons would light up for 20 seconds and then turn off, I wouldn't get a splash screen. I would then have to sit there and turn the car on/off maybe 30 times for it to finally boot up properly. Or go for a drive and then when I turned the car off/on the stereo would boot up properly.

It's an F900BT, I followed the guide on this website, but the website is down at the moment but can still be viewed by the cached page.

I have done a WINCE upgrade via the uboot mode using files from the lnks above.

Deleted the files in "My Flash Disk", replaced with new files from the above website.

Installed 2014 United Kingdom Maps.

Works perfectly...for about 12 hours? It works perfectly as soon as you have done it, works perfectly a few hours later all boots up first time every time but if you leave the car overnight when you come to turn the car on in the morning the stereo refuses to boot, it just lights up the map/menu/eject buttons for 20 seconds and then turns the lights off, no splash screen, no boot, no nothing.

When the stereo works it works perfectly, I upgraded the bluetooth software and everything works, it just seems far too intermittent.

I have also tried unmounting flashdisk, formatting and then creating a new partition, result is the same as above.

What do I do next? MBR? I have an SDMLC file for europe but I haven't done anything with it.
