Puddle Pirate
I won't be able to use a wiring harness connection for my vehicle. What is the best connection method? Wire Nuts? Butt Connectors? Taps? Or Solder and shrink tubing?
tillithz
wire nutts? oh god.. watch out fire.... solder and tape or heatshrink. your choice, thats as close to original wiring as your going to get..... besides I suppose buying a $100 molex crimper and pulling the pins out and making your own harness. that said, butt connectors would be fine. Thats assuming you have the factory car side harness lopped off.
Puddle Pirate
I figured wire nuts would be the least effective. Don't know if the installer will have access to a Magnadyne wiring harness - but he might! From looking at the Magnadyne web site, it looks like the RCA plugs already installed for the rear TV will just plug in. Since this is not the normal install, Car Toys in Beaverton, Or-E-Gun will do the install as I have seen installs he has done on similar vehicles.

Puddle Pirate
um, what vehicle is that? you havent mentioned it yet Sorry. I did in a different thread. I'm installing this in my 2007 Holiday Rambler Ambassador motor coach. It's a 40 foot long 330 HP diesel pusher motor home. Granted! It's not your usual daily driver.............. However!! If the wife throws me out - I still got a doghouse to go to!!
