Installers...which harness is the right one?

There are 2 harnesses coming out from Metra for an '07 Jeep Wrangler, which has CanBus2. My Jeep has the Infinity system. The harness for that version is CHTO-03, and lists for $150.

Tonight, I stumbled upon this. Is it an alternative that would work?

Here's a thread discussing the above:

I'm particularly concerned about this statement from the thread listed above:

The CHTO-03 one is if you have the Infinity system and want to retain use of the Infinity amplifier. The stock Infinity amp uses the CANbus to get turn on/turn off/balance information so that needs to come from someplace if you get rid of the stock headunit.

I just want to get this thing installed and be done with it. What would you guys advise?

Sorry for being such a novice, and I appreciate your help.

Richard

ok, the circuit city thing will not work. it is for regular pioneer radios, which have different plugs than the navi's, and it will not interface with the factory amplified system.

The chto-03 is the best bet. I have not used it yet personally, but have used the chto-01 on the 07 commander. Metra makes good stuff, if you have to wait a little while, its worth the wait

just to give you guys a heads-up as to why I've made so many posts about this, I'm off on a 6 week trip--tn/fl/tx/nm/and back...mostly work, some fun, and I was hoping to have a clean install....due to the fact that there's no harness, it's gonna be me, and my Garmin 330C, and ipod plugged into Aux in, with wire dangling everywhere, and NO SATELLITE RADIO....sadly awaiting the danged harness....they keep saying any day, but I expect it's actually gonna be a few months before it's out.

Apparantly, CanBus 2 is more complicated than I realize.
