AVIC-D3 in 2005 HONDA ACCORD COUPE LX???

Has anyone installed D3 in 2005/2006 Honda Accord Coupe LX? My cousin wants to get D3 but I dont think it'll fit.

 

Can someone please give me some information about this?

Yes it can be done. Youll have to replace the lower pocket. You can get the trim piece for the tape deck from the dealer. Cost s about 80 for the part. That'll give you the double din opening to put the avic in. There's a member around here that put a z1 in his accord.

I did it to my 2003 accord that way, only problem is that when the car is in park its hard to see the screen.

Also, which dash kit (double-din) did you buy? I couldn't find it online.

check out v6p.com forum. The storage cubby replacement is the honda audio attachment. This is a double-din kit. To increase visibility, search again on v6p forum for shiftknob mod. Its pretty easy and well-worth the increased viewing space on the d3.
