Random Off/On behavior

Recommended Posts

My D3 shuts off for no seemingly no reason while I'm driving. At first I thought it was a loose connection in the red(switched) line, so I went back and soldered all the connections. It was still doing it yesterday and this morning (even completely reset the unit once!). Then today on the way back from the gym, even after replacing the fuse on the car fuze panel, it cut out completely. It got 12v on both power connections during the install. Any thoughts?

I took a multimeter to the wiring and came up with 12v on the switched power, but on the constant power, it read 12v and was dropping by .01 ever second or two until it settled at about .88v and stayed there. I replaced the fuze and it was 12v again, but again started dropping till it was under 1v. WTF?
