My Avic Z2 Issue

I have 3 problems with my Avic Z2

 

1.) Some times when I turn on the car, the avic z2 says 'starting up pioneer navigation' but never gets passed this screen (just black with white text in upper left corner.

 

2.) Some times when I turn on car, I see the pioneer startup screen, but it never goes past this, but I can hear audio at whatever it was on last and the volume buttons work

 

3.) Last night my play list in my library started just jumping from song to song only staying on each for 3 seconds or so.

 

 

An ideas as to my problem?

 

I am thinking of doing the full hard drive reset as described in the manual, but I can't since it never gets past the "starting up pioneer navigation" text on the black screen.

Just saw Hydrilla's post, I think i am having identical issues. Must be heat and or bad hard drive/corruption.

 

Though I have had the problem occur at night...

I have had problems #1 and #2 since I got my Z-1 more than a year ago. I don't have the problem in the Winter, Spring and Fall, but during the heat of the Summer, forget it. The thing locks up and won't work, so I am going to assume that the max heat limitation has been reached. If you peruse this site, you will notice that this is a common problem, so I kinda doubt it's the hard drive.
