dliguori25
I'm having issues with my z1. Recently I can't access any of the gps menu features that are cut off while driving even when I'm sitting still. Basically the only way I can use the fully functional gps menu is to hit the reset button on the z1 and then flash my lights. Without reseting (rebooting) I am limited to the "return home" button even when parked. What is annoying is then everytime I need to look up an address I lose my radio presets. Have any of you ever heard of this happening? I'm hoping it is something dumb that I can fix without pulling the hu out and sending it to pioneer. It worked fine at one point so I'm confused. dliguori25
Oh my bad. I think things are more organized here than the last time I was on. As far as the issue goes I don't have a bypass installed.
jhoglesr
Does the unit show that your parking brake is on when it's applied ?
dliguori25
No it shows the p-brake as off regardless of its possition. The thing that puzzles and annoys me is that without rebooting and flashing my lights I have no functionality from the gps even when I'm sitting still. It has me locked out no matter what unless I reboot and do the flashy.
jhoglesr
It sounds like your parking brake wire connection came off . Check the wire at the parking brake switch and the back of the unit . If the unit thinks the P brake is off it will lock you out.

cntrylvr79
Damn it I thought I got the right forum. It's kinda hard to tell since the list just say s the same thing for all of the different troubleshooting sections...
