USAF_NAV
I have a 00 Ford EB Explorer that came with all the bells & whistles on the factory system, incl a 6-disc changer in the center console. Well after the display went bad & the on button quit working I bought a used N2. I got it installed ok, incl the bypass, however, is there a easy way to hook up the ford 6-disc through the IP bus? Right now I have an extra plug floating around that I assume goes to the 6 disc, although I haven't researched the wiring diagrams. I thought I might bypass a lot of research w/the help of you guys. Thanks.
cntrylvr79
You can't. The communication protocols are completely different, and no one made an interface to connect the 2.
MisFit
yeah, your beat on that one. but you can probably get a pioneer changer for about $100. and it will fit right in your console as well
cntrylvr79
Like a glove. Love putting changers there.
USAF_NAV
thanks for the help...I was afraid of that. Well, since I'm changing out the system, might as well go the whole way! Does pioneer may a dual dvd/cd changer? That way I can just leave the navi dvd in the head unit. Thanks.
