shad0019
I have a D3 and a '06 ford fusion. I have the vss wire hooked up to the wheel speed sensor, since there is not a vss in the car. The problem is that I am not getting any pulse from the wheel. And yes, I have it on the positive side. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

cntrylvr79
Move it to the other wire at the wheel speed sensor.
shad0019
Are you sure it should go on the Negative side? The speed sensors in my car are not the 3 wire ones...
cntrylvr79
yes
shad0019
I tried the negative side and there is still no pulse. Do I have to turn something on in the D3?
cntrylvr79
no, you sure you got the wheel speed sensor. One of those wires should be giving you a signal.
MisFit
those wires arent going to give you a signal. its data. if those wires would work, they would be listed on the tech sheets. when they say speed sensor, they mean add a speed sensor
shad0019
I know it is the wheel speed sensor... Misfit, are you saying I need to add the Pioneer speed sensor? If not, what speed sensor should I be adding? Another thing, the car had the speed sensitive volume... Is there a wire behind the radio that I could tap into?
MisFit
different companies make em. i used the alpine piece in my car. it, like the new platform fords, does not have a speed sense speed sensitive volume means nothing. my car had that too. its also data. the nav cant read it
