lukeep
ive got everthing hooked up but i hooked up my rca cables to the subwoofer cables, and i get nothing coming from the subwoofer. i have a blue and a red rca cable running from the amp and i have the plugged into the subwoofer/non fading cables. could this be because my ground wire is not grounded properly, right now im clueless. what could it be, i have a 2004 chevy silverado no bose or onstar. i have an 800watt powerbass amp and 2 10in mtx subwoofers
cntrylvr79
Yes you are. How about some models numbers of the equipment your talking about.
steve310
Is it an aftermarket or stock system? Did you hook up the amp turn on? Do you have an amp? Or just a sub sitting on the seat?
lukeep
oh im sorry i only put the model on the subject its a d3, and i have an amp powering the subs
cntrylvr79
So where's the model #s of the amp/subs? Still missing that stuff.
lukeep
the amp is an 800 watt powerbass, and the subs are MTX Thunder 5500 T5510-04 10" 4-ohm Component Subwoofer
steve310
Is this a new set-up, or an old set up with a new headunit? If it is a whole new system just start from the beginning and check all of your connections. Make sure: There is power to the amp It is properly grounded RCAs are hooked up tight Speaker wire from the amp to the box, the box to the subs Remote turn on is hooked up Settings on the AVIC have the amp on (I don't know where this would be, but its a possibility) If its just a new head unit, I would probably check the last two of that list first.
