dtomcat
OK, We installed a z1 into the mountaineer and now the rear screen will not power on. seems like the dvd player will but the rear screen will not. Does anyone know or has came across this and how to fix it? TIA
jimmy303
There is a wire that needs to be powered up off of the factory auxilliary radio harness, I think it was light green with a red stripe, but don't take that as gospel. Check it out by re-connecting the factory radio to the harnesses indash and test to see which wire on the factory auxilliary harness sends +12v to the monitor.

jimmy303
I also had a strange problem with an '06 Explorer rear screen, it would power up if you inserted a dvd into the overhead dvd/monitor combo, but it would not stay on if you used the auxilliary inputs. I don't remember how I fixed that.
PaisanNYC
It's a mercury Same thing as an Explorer, except you paid more money for a faux-luxury name
