D2 does not initialize

I got a D2 pull on eBay. I connected the speed and reverse wires, left the parking brake open.

After power up, I loaded the nav DVD and found out that I got two copies of the East Coast, none of the West Coast.

It loaded the software and started to nagivate, but put me somewhere in NY (I live next to San Jose).

All seemed OK except I needed a West Coast DVD.

I went to the Settings -> Hardware Info - 3D Calibration.

The screen showed numbers for Distance, Right Turn, Left Turn and 3D.

I cleared all the values.

Now it shows Learning Status - Sensor Initializing.

I reseted it, drove 50 miles, but it's stuck in Sensor Initializing.

Any tip would be greatly appreciated.
