EditorDZ Posted December 10, 2014 Report Share Posted December 10, 2014 I've hooked up a Chromecast to my 8000NEX, but I'm having problems. The setup/home screen looks fine, but as soon as I cast anything (either from MacBook Pro or Galaxy S5), the image is zoomed in on the top left corner. It's not an overscan issue, the zoom is way far in. It looks like it doesn't scale the video, but just shows the pixels 1:1. I also noticed that after casting YouTube or Netflix, the home screen reverts to being sized correctly. However, after casting a tab from my Mac's Chrome, or mirror my phone's screen, the home screen remains zoomed in until I restart the Chromecast. Does anyone here successfully use a Chromecast? If so, any tips/tricks/hoops to make it work? I'm also interested if anyone successfully uses a Miracast receiver. If yes, what's your boot time for it?
