8100 and the ipod touch 6th gen

Ok, so after talking to Pioneer about my 2nd gen ipod touch not working properly (sound cutting out, stuttering) , I got the 32G ipod touch 6th gen (newest as of right now)

 

So far it does not do the sound cutting out and stuttering, but when I start my car, it's sitting in 'paused' mode where the 2nd gen would just start playing as soon as the system was ready for it.

 

Also the 2nd gen would at least show that I had videos on it, but just didn't play them right (no vid or sound tho the timer was moving), but the new 6th gen ipod touch doesn't even see that I have videos on it (they do show on the ipod and play)

 

I did a search for these issues, and I remember them being addressed but I couldn't find them.....

 

Any clues?

 

p.s. on a side note, it's funny that the 8100 sees it as CarPlay capable, but we all know it has to be an iPhone for that to work....
