Incase anyone else needing fix for X8650 stuck in boot loop: splash screen then "please wait...", this worked for me (Singapore unit): download above image file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzObkaTnnIcWSU82N1A2WE9uWDg/view?usp=sharing extract using winrar, mount onto sd card, replace into unit. done. incase you're wondering how to do on a mac: i used winzip to extract the .img file then used balenaEtcher to write the file to a fresh fat formatted sd.
