Avic 8100, backup cam and maps

Hello to you all

 

I installed a backup camera on my car, but noticing a weird behavior.

When I press the backup camera icon on the avic, it launches the navigation app, and then a couple of seconds later it shows the image from the camera.

Any idea why it does that?
