Trouble with External video..

Recommended Posts

I'm attempting to put an Xbox in my truck. I have an Avic-d3, bypassed and everything. I'm trying to do this through the external video as I didnt do the install myself and I'm not familiar with pulling the unit out.

Anyway, I have everything going the way I want but when the Xbox is powered on I get verrrrry fuzzy, soft audio and no video whatsoever. I have it connected to that rca audio video cable using these couplers:

and here's a similar cable (mine are just r/w/y:)

Any reason as to why I would be getting no picture? Would it be a setting on the unit? It is set to video 2 (video input) and I can hear the audio (crap quality) and no video. I adjusted settings on the xbox for video output and nothing helped. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks alot.

Do you have the video coming from the XBOX to one of those barrel connecters? IF so try putting it straight to the D3 video input.
