06gator Posted November 21, 2007 Report Share Posted November 21, 2007 I just bought a avic z1 and its DOA. when you go to hardware page where you can see the GPS sats vss status etc.. I have numerous errors. The list is: GPS NOK VOLTAGE NOK VSS NOK BACKUP NOK These errors leads me to believe the gyro in it is inop. I called pioneer and they say the unit is defective. Evverything else works though. Crazy. I am sending the unit back for a refund and have since purchased another which I hope will be here next week. I have another question though. I hooked the PAC adapter up for the steering wheel controls and all works well, however I bought another for the rear controls and they don't work. I also am trying to get my stock sub to work with this unit and it doesnt. My CAR IS A 2006 Lincoln Navigator non oem nav. I bought a rear monitor and will use the AVIC for movies. It is going back and a new one is already on the way. If anyone else gets these errors your unit is most likely defective. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
