I purchased a used car "Audi A4 2005" with the Pioneer avic z110 bt. The original owner said the screen started to cut in and out also he spilt soda on the unit. Attached is an image of the screen at startup. It goes blank after a few seconds. The eject button work however, I can not enable the test function either.
I downloaded the service manual and checked all the power test points and fuses which were all good. If the CC unit is removed, the fan spins on startup and I can see the display boot with the funny lines as expected.
