  1. update. After resetting my ipod twice and updating/connecting to itunes 2 weeks later it has finally connected to the Z1. It was weird becuase I had the pioneer logo on the ipod, it still charged the ipod but would give me an error message while it was connected.
  2. Since I have a blackberry 7100i and I can not upload my phone book. Does anybody know of a emulator type of program where I can fake my laptop into being recognized as a phone and upload my phone book through the laptop? I can discover the Z1 on the laptop but the Z1 does not recognize the laptop. Any suggestions?
  3. I had a similar problem with my first Z1. If you don't have another video source, put in a dvd, play it and change your settings on the Z1 to mirror the dvd output. Hook up an RCA from the video out to the back up camera input. Then with ignition on and the car not running, e-brake on, shift the car into reverse. If you get a perfect image of the movie, it's not the Z1. But if the image is as bad as with the camera, then it is the Z1. I first thought it was my camera and after I recieved a replacement and took my truck apart, I still had the same issues, I was pretty pissed that I had a bad un
  4. I have tried but with itunes 7 it doesn't let you. Normally I would wait to upgrade incase there were any bugs but since i have the video ipod for my wife and itunes 7 is supose to fix some issues or be more in tune for the video ipod i never thought about how it might effect my photo ipod. The plus side for me was that it automatically gets all of the album art for you and i thought it would be good, oh well. I might install my original software on a older pc sometime this coming week just to see if it will install the old firmware. I have a busy weekend but I will keep everyone posted.
  5. I don't know if anybody has updated their ipod or not but stay away from the 1.3.1 update for the ipod for now. I recently updated my ipod and the Z1 can not read any music off of it. I get an error code (I think 11). My other ipod works fine, it has version 1.1.1. I could be mistaken, but the older version still works, not the new, and this is after resetting the ipod and adding over 3000 plus songs. I hope I am mistaken and somebody has a fix for this because my wife doesn't want to give up her slim video ipod for the bulky old ipod.
  6. I have been able to still use my keypad on my phone when asked to prompt in numbers. Also, when I don't do the bypass, I can dial from my phone and it comes through the Z1 while driving. Not a fix but an option. Hope it helps
