  1. All I can say is good luck with that... I got the same response. The lady I spoke to said look its 2 years away she said its premature for me to be worrying about it. Maybe so but I just would like to know that my HU will not be obsolete by then.
  2. Mine worked today.. but when its raining and traffic is bad it does not work... MSN sucks.. and that is why they are closing up shop...
  3. I agree 100% those of you that feel ok with all this are not seeing the Pioneer for what they are. Really look at the F series they came out with. Had numerous issues from day one. I bought one.. it was in my truck for about a week today it sits on a shelf in my garage I put my Z2 back in and was just fine. I waited to see if there were issues with the Z110BT bought it a few weeks ago love it but I use the traffic and its important I was a little worried about going from XM Nav Traffic to MSN, now I know why I was. For a company like Pioneer to just blow off that fact that something they adver
  4. Ok I use mine everyday.. I travel all over Houston, TX and it saves me time everyday. Now with that said I can see why you would say sit back and dont worry. Yes 2 years is a long time, however knowing MS it would not surprise me for them to up the time to discontinue the service all together. As for using Nav traffic most likely would not happen because the data that comes from XM or Sirius is digial and the data coming from MSN is analog the radio does not have the ability to decode the digital data. I think Pioneer makes some really good products I think the 110BT is the best Nav on the ma
  5. I hear ya.. but I did buy it for the traffic.. I travel the Houston area all day long and XM Traffic saved my butt.. a few times... I sure hope.. I am sure though Pioneer will replace it with something. I got a follow-up email from support and she said they are looking into this. I will say this.. traffic seems to work better now that its free.. LOL
  6. Funny thing is... I keep hearing everyone saying.. I get 2 years for free... well that’s all good and fine... but then what? Or I guess everyone in this forum is wealthy enough to just go buy a new unit then. Well for those who would like their unit to last them a few more years... I have a call into Pioneer and was told last night that R&D is working on another option yes we will have to buy a new adapter but sounded to me that XM module may be in the works... They lady said that the NY Attorney General’s office had many complaints already and that it has to be resolved seeing that they a
  7. Update you are correct called them again and they offered me the refund and did say the service would run through 2012. I called Pioneer again to explain my concern since I travel Houston everyday and that feature was my primary reason to buy. They said that in 2 years the Z110BT will be a different model with other options but said they are looking at other options to support traffic on the system past 2012. See I did not know that when you biu something now they also give you the life date of the item so in 2 years my system will need to be replaced. WOW that works out really well for Pionee
  8. Hmm... I talked to a supervisor since the person I talked to did not even know what I was talking about they told me about that if I wanted a refund it would end around or about the time I got my money back.
  9. Not trying to make anyone mad but why would anyone buy this when we know they are going out of business and the old check's in the mail deal does not go over with me. I called and complained about it and was told I could get a full refund but that my service would be discontinued. So those of you waiting for the check I would not be surprised if you get your service cut off.
  10. The question is guys... what will Pioneer do to resolve the traffic issue? How will the unit get traffic? There is no data connection for XM Traffic. Are we going to have to buy a new Nav again? If so I am not buying Pioneer.
  11. Guys.. there is no other alternative to MSN Direct no other way to get data.. I called Pioneer to complain and I was told there would be a new unit out to replace the Z110BT... you have got to be kidding me.. The guy said new navs are to be out because technology is evolving so fast that it has a life span of 2 years... WTF Pioneer... Damn I sold my Z to get this new one and I gave up XM traffic which by the way at least gives you consistent traffic where the Direct MSN sucks... Call and complain to Pioneer... someone there should lose their jobs for this by not giving another option for traf
  12. So we have 2 years to get serice then what do we do to get traffic info with a Z110BT. Pioneer says they are not aware this is from MSN Directs site. MSN® Direct SupportHave questions? 13. Well after using MSN Direct here in Houston, I have to say it SUCKS. I want my XM Traffic back! Its far better than MSN is at its current stat. I am not sure why Pioneer would have built this great Z110BT and not given the users the choice to use XM or MSN. But Pioneer if you are out there and reading this.... Come on MSN SUCKS. I am in the middle of downtown Houston and it does not show a accident that has been there for over an hour I know this becaue FM radio is saying so. It shows traffic flow one minute then seconds later shows nothing... green, yellow, red will be flashing and then nothi
  14. I will check it out.. thanks...
  15. Been there its not being put on by the Z's own POI its the MSN Directs the stations are green yellow and red... and the correspond with MSN's gas prices...
