I called Pioneer and the Gentleman talked to engineering and they said it will work fine. Still the question is it worth updating to the new tuner. All together with the transfer fee and the tuner it will cost $200 to upgrade. Any advice will help I have already ordered the receiver and can’t wait to put it in.

I have a Avic N1 with a SIR-PNR1 tuner. I would like to upgrade to a AVIC-X910BT but I can’t see anywhere that this deck will work with this tuner? Would I be better off just getting a Avic D3 and keep this old tuner? I have a life time Sirius on this tuner and I know I can transfer it for a fee but would I be better off with the newer tuner? Do they have better reception? Thanks for any help.
