  1. I had the same problem. I gave up and returned the CD-IV202NAVI. I didn't want to wait for a fix and the thick USB/VGA wrapped cable coming from my dash was pretty unsightly. Overall, it's a huge hassle.
  2. Has anybody gotten this to work? I had the stations coming up just fine once, but every time I've tried since then, communications cut out and I get "error-11". It's pretty annoying, considering I bought this for my wife specifically for the Pandora bluetooth functionality.
  3. With today's announcement of iOS 7 and its in-car features, what do you guys think is the likelihood of that mode working on AppRadio 2 or 3? It seems like all it needs is a firmware update on the AppRadio side of things to send the flag that it's a car head unit to launch into car mode. Anyone with a developer account and a beta of iOS 7 want to give it a try?
  4. A reverse-engineered solution like this is exactly what I was talking about on the thread I started about controlling an AppleTV via Bluetooth, hooked up with HDMI. http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/36257-appradio-extensions-for-appletv/
  5. Here's more information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_TV#Remote_control
  6. You're right--it probably wouldn't even need that complex of a solution. Since the AppleTV is able to receive input via a Bluetooth keyboard, it seems a driver would just need to be written so that the AppleTV could spoof itself as an Android device to the head unit and map touch input from the head unit to the various hot spots on the interface. It's even possible that since the AppleTV uses a fork of iOS, some touch drivers are still baked into the OS. I would assume that since the latest update supports keyboards for input, it would be the Human Interface Device Profile.
  7. Hey everyone, Seeing all the great work being put into AppRadio Extensions gave me an idea, which may be relatively easy to implement/port. I just hooked an AppleTV to my AppRadio 2 via the HDMI port and it thinks it's an Android device. Realizing that the head unit sends/receives touch screen input via Bluetooth on Android devices, wouldn't it be possible to write a driver/background process to allow a jailbroken AppleTV to be controlled via it's built-in Bluetooth? What do you guys think?
  8. UPDATE: I figured out what the issue was. I realized that since it all quit working, I had bought a 30-pin dock extension cable because the stock one from Pioneer doesn't stay connected to the iPhone very well. After I removed that from the equation, everything started working flawlessly again. Apparently, not all 30 pin dock extenders carry video signals. Weird stuff. Too bad the extension cable didn't work, since it has a better fit on the dock connector. But I'm just glad everything is working again.
  9. That didn't fix it for me. I've tried quitting the app from the iPhone's task manager, deleting it from my phone and reinstalling it and even installed it on my sister's iPhone to see if I might have a bad settings file somewhere on mine. No luck. What's weird is, when I first installed it, the parking brake notification would stay on the screen even while flipping the switch, then would go away once I hit the OK/Continue button. Now, it alternates between the blank screen and the parking brake screen each time I flip the switch. I think my only option at this point is to disconnect
  10. Hey everyone, It's my first time posting here, as I just bought an AppRadio 2 a few days ago. I installed a simple bypass switch and at first, it worked flawlessly. The second day it would intermittently display a blank screen when trying to launch the app menu, while flipping the brake override switch. Starting today, the screen goes from black to the brake instructions with each flip of the switch. Finally, when the instructions come back and the continue/ok button is able to be pressed, I press it, and it takes me to nothing but a blank screen. Sometimes a notification window eve
