  1. I use Google Play Music with the files downloaded to the device. I'm using a Nexus 6, btw. I know it's just MP3, but should still be 320 kbps. From what I understand, viper shouldn't be touching the audio files being sent to the HU anyway. If I disable it, it makes no difference in terms of quality. Maybe I just need to play with the settings on the nex to get it sounding right, but left untouched the music sounds flat. No lows or highs. I'll download some flac files and see how that works as well.
  2. I have a 7100nex and the audio quality of music from AA is just awful. I have the xtrememusic mod installed on my phone and use viper to fine tune the settings so over bluetooth or aux the sound quality is amazing. I know I'll probably never be able to achieve that level of quality with AA since the head unit processes the audio, but does anyone have any recommended settings for the HU to improve the quality via AA?
  3. I just upgraded from z140 to 7100 so I can use Google maps and not waste $1200 for pioneer to not update maps after a year...but the z140 had the option to use the rear speakers as a sub and I can't seem to find that on the 7100. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to achieve this (without buying an amp and installing a sub)? The audio was sounding pretty good with the z140 with the set up I had, and now it just sounds pitiful.
  4. I have the latest update installed. I am running a custom version of the android system which may be the problem.
  5. I just installed a z140 and my razr does not want to connect. My phone says "Pioneer Navi rejected the pairing." Anyone else have or hear of this issue? I'm pretty new to the whole nav system thing, so any help would be appreciated. I did a lot of searching and couldn't seem to find much...One person just said it fixed itself overnight...lol
  6. My brother gave me his old D3 unit when he upgraded to a new unit, but I keep getting a disc read error. When I put any disc in the drive makes a good deal of noise then comes up "Read Error" in the lower left corner. I've tried the manual reset and even took the unit apart and re-lubricated the rails the lens glides on. The rest of the unit works perfectly. Any suggestions or ideas as to maybe how to resolve this problem? Or does anyone know where I could get a replacement drive? I couldn't seem to find any info on that either. Thanks!
