Anything dealing with computers/coding, electronics and videogames. And my kids too i suppose
  1. It is as simple as putting a file on the root of a SD card and booting up with that in the unit. The only tricky part is navigating through test mode. While i did not find it difficult to learn quickly, i have read through a lot of ppl posting how the deleted something when they didnt mean to, but clicked the wrong button, or something to that affect. So just be careful, copy the USER folder and paste it to the sd card. go straight to a pc, save that folder somewhere safe. As long as that is your first step you should have no issues, then if you delete the wrong thing you have a back up yo
  2. Assuming your familiar with testmode and how to copy and paste. I am not responsible for anything anyone does, you do this at your own risk. 1. Go into supertest mode, make a backup of the entire USER folder and back it up on your PC. 2. On your PC take and from your backup and find the navi.exe(USER/PRG1/APL/navi.exe) and make a copy and put it somewhere safe as long as it different than the backup. 3. Open the navi.exe with a HEX editor, I used winhex (not your master back up copy) 4. Find the offset 000BEBFC 5. change "05 00 00 0A" to "00 00 A0 E1" 6. Save it to the sd card 7. g
  3. Yes it will work,as I did it after updating my 930bt to 5.0. Just edit the few HEX digets on the nav.exe and paste it in, and nag screen no-more.
  4. They sell the connection for converting the white/red audio cable to the 3.5mm audio.(USE THE RED/WHITE COMING OF THE WHITE HARNESS NOT THE UNIT ITSELF) Just search "audio to 3.5mm" at your preferred shopping site, amazon has them starting at like 4 bucks. I used to connect my old sirus radio that way so it would have a hard connecting rather than the tune the radio to the channel method, as it produced much better audio. Once you have it plugged in, you have to go into SETTINGS/AV SETTINGS and then change the AV1 input to Video (default is usually IPOD or OFF). then when you want to listen to
  5. Try using AVIC Feeds, there it will let you choose any pic you want and format it correctly and has an option to xfer it to your sd card. The only issue once it xfers to the sd it names it wallpaper.gif or something, so it only lets you do one at a time, so once it is transfered to the sd, find it in the PC folder it creates and rename it, as if you dont it will create the defualt name each time, so if you try to do more than one splash screen it over rides the file each time as all are name wallpaper.gif or whatever it was. Much easier than formating yourself and try to move it to the right
  6. I have my 930BT bi-passed and a couple weeks ago I started having some audio issues. I cannot hear my phone or navigation. I went into setting and even cranked it all the way up with no help. The weird thing is that if i use Bluetooth audio it plays fine from my phone and i have no problems. But the actual conversation i cannot hear anything. Or When the navigation used to override what ever i was using for music and give me directions, now it just goes silent like its gong to give me directions but no sound. So If i have the volumes set correctly what else could be the problem. As this did al
