My D1 has been serving me well in my last two cars for the past few years, but lately a new problem has cropped up in that on the left side of the screen when i go to hit a letter while entering addresses or whatever involves touching the screen that when i press it, it registers a press that is off to the right

to get an "a", i need to press the very very left edge of the screen with my finger nail, otherwise it thinks i pressed the letter to the right of "a"

I scoured through the menus looking for some sort of screen calibration, but can't seem to find it....

any suggestions on this or am i just screwed

Maybe it's time to step up to a newer unit? :D

Spending $800+ on a new unit would be "last resort"

I was hoping for reasonable answers to fix what i currently have, and really have no problems with because it's an older unit

Nope, haven't seen anything about recalibrating the screen out there

So my screen is indeed broken beyond calibration, as i spent a good hour to hour and a half last night messing with the service menu....

It simply won't let me set the left edge of the screen to the proper "min-x" (which i assume is zero)

ah well, it's served a good 3-ish years of service, time to look for a new head unit
