Bypass on D3

I had someone install my D3/Xmradio/Navtraffic/Ipod cable/Steering controls.

The installer also told me that they would ground the parking brake wire so I could use nav controls while car is in motion.

Everything works just fine except for the bypass. I haven't had a chance

to go back to the shop to talk the installer.

I did read that you have to move the "mute" wire to a differnt pin, so I wonder if this is the step he didn't do.

Can somone confirm, is this the only thing the installer will have to do?

Considering everything else has been installed and works fine, how much work is involved in simply changing the mute wire.

I keep getting multiple warning messages, everytime I turn the car on.

Will these go away if the mute wire is tweaked or do I have to live with this. Is there no software upgrade to get rid of these warning messages?

I really like this unit, however I can't even use NavTraffic while the car is in motion to see traffic hot spots/traffic flow. Why the heck is that disabled.

You have to come to a complete stop to see traffic info, how ridicilous is that. Everytime you want get to an update on traffic conditions you have to pull over.. that is insane.

That's the exact article I was referring to when I was asking about the mute wire pin change.

Just needed confirmation.. is confirmation such a bad thing?

Additionally, I didn't see any articles that definitatevly explained if it

was possible to remove warning/info messages on start up.

I want to go back to the installer and provide the correct information before he pulls everything apart again.

You can not get rid of the warning message that pops up every time you start the car.
