abtelectronics.com has it for 852.15 shipped before rebate so 652.15 with authorized reseller warranty ... not bad

Posted Feb 05, 2008 · 18:06 UTC#27

Best Buy has this for $699 or $499 after rebate.

Pioneer is using this rebate to police trans shipping of the d3. so unfortunately this deal would not work unless you were local, sorry guys. i tried

Posted Feb 06, 2008 · 06:17 UTC#31

I'm gonna guess he means whats the difference between the d3 and the d3x? I assume that the d3x is just the package that includes the bluethooth and ipod cable correct?

ok, just to clear up all the confusion. i found out yesterday that Pioneer is using this rebate as a means to track trans shipping of the d3. what that means is that if you send in a rebate form from CA etc, with my receipt from NJ then i get in trouble with Pioneer. so unfortunately i can only give the $700 offer to members living in NJ. Sorry, i did not know this ahead of time.

Hi all,

I'm new to the site, great info, I found this site on the chevy avalanche forum. I'm in the market for nav/dvd unit and I have two in mind. I like the d3x because it has all the features i'm looking for and now for the price because of the rebate. Also I found one comparable on the cartronix site Jensen vm9512 bundle that adds the nav to it with other extra features like sd. My question, is there much different in quality between the two. I'm pushing a little toward the jensen only because it is a single din, my 02 avalanche is only 1 1/2, other than that I would have to get a double din bezel off a 03. Thanks for the info and suggestions.

best buy is only showing the D3, not the D3X unit on their website and the are not discounting it. just checked and it shows $1000.

last week i got to work after reading this post and i found my D3 was on sale for 699, incredible because our cost went up to 715 (yes our cost changes) so i called everyone i knew and i sold 5 d3s in 2 days.

as far as best buy and circuit, there prices will vary i think last week they had a sale like 800 wich sounds right but now u say its 1000 again

why is everyone so excited about best buy selling a D3 for $699 when you can get a D3X for $100 less and it comes with bluetooth, ipod, and the remote.

Where? Link? Authorized?

THere is already a thread that talks about the cheapest place to get a d3 please post there.

Circuit City now has the D3 for $699 installed. To say this again, they are NOT eligible for the $200 rebate. Still a friggin steal for those needing the labor too.

However many online sources are infact authorized. Call Pioneer if in doubt. I did and am 100% authorized my rebate. Getting my D3X package for under $600 shipped after rebate.

thats kinda high. you should have been around that price before rebate

So does it matter if a vendor price matches another vendor? Will the rebate still apply?

I used the link posted earlier in this thread to go directly to the Pioneer site, and this was the link to their "authorized internet/online stores":

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... e+Internet

The other link I found was regarding those that -weren't-,or at least some form of clarification regarding online purchases and the rebate:

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... et+Dealers

So,my guess is,if it isn't on their list of authorized stores, and it is bought off the net, there is a good chance it won't be eligible for the rebate. That being said, there is also a good chance you can buy it on the internet for less than you would pay for retail minus the rebate. Shop around!
