i got a the D3 yesterday, and i searched this forum, but didnt find the exact answer i was lookin for, i want to be able to have the dvd player workin while i drive, is there anyway to undo the parking break wire so i can, without removing the headunitl, thanks a lot for the help
You need to pull the deck out to move the pin so you're going to have to take it out anyway
well i heard all u have to do is ground out the emergency brake wire, and if that doesnt work just run it to a constant power, i never heard of anything like haveing to move the wire
Well what you heard is wrong. To do the bypass, look at 1 of the 4 sticky topics here:

You have to ground the parking brake wire to the body of the car.
But you WILL have to remove the unit because to do the bypass, you also have to move the mute wire to a different pin position on the D3' harness and ground that as well. That is the ONLY way to bypass the lockout.
Also, DO NOT hook up the parking brake wire to a constant power source. That would be very bad.

how u ground the mute wire after u move it
Attach it to a bolt or screw on body of the car or to the radio's ground wire.
