But, I have to ask and forgive me for asking something that is obvious, but what is this "bypass" everyone is talking about?

I am putting an Avic D3 in my Saab 9-3ss....

It makes the d3 able to play dvd's and also lets you change destinations while you have the navi on without stopping and setting the parking brake.

ahh....right, I figured as much after reading through, but I didn't know if that was really the case or not.

I guess a bypass I will go, not so much for the DVD playback, but more for address input. However, I have a feeling it has something to do with not connecting the e-brake signal, or something like that....
