yep I just did it the 2 wire bypass does work withe the Z3..same as Z1 and Z2...also the Chevy sliverado kit has to be trimed on the inside at the top and bottom in order for the face to slide in and out

trim here on the inside lip of the kit trim ...use a razor knife

All this talk about the Z3 is making me sick with out pics. The pics you have above is cool but we all would like to see the map. I would love to see what the new map looks like.

I've seen posts that have links to other online retailers other than ebay. Also, a quick Google Shopping search shows lots of online stores starting to selling them now.

The guy I found on eBay has a box for a Z2 pictured, and the pic is also of a Z2. And Pioneer's website does not even remotely mention the Z3. Their website had a demo video of the D3 from CES several weeks before its release, so I would expect the same from a highly anticipated unit, like the Z3.

I have seen people on eBay trying to sell the 2009 Camaro, already, for Christ's sake...

Will I just recieved one today purchased on ebay there was 17 units from different sellers went to my local pioneer dealer and they first said not out then cked and said 2 weeks

i'm working on an 03 escalade right now.. and i installed z3 in it 2 weeks ago.. so yes it's out.. and i am on my work computer right now so no card reader or anything fancy so i can't upload pics.. but yes it's out.. and yes people have them

Didn't the same thing happen when the Z1 first came out, then the Z2? It was not posted on their website and the reps do not know anything about them. It seems that the pioneer products would usually be available to the public first before the info is available on their website or from the representatives. I think when the Z1 to Z2 upgrade discs were made available, it was available at the Pioneer distributors first. It wasn't until a month later that the discs were available on their website for everyone to purchase.

Okay just to clarify, when by-passing the Z3, is it only the 2 wire methold or do we also need to burn the iso image and update like the Z2? 2 wire method only or both? Thanks.

you don't see any thread talking abotu an ISO image for the Z3, do you? and in the image thread, it says that it's 2-wire bypassable...
