the 700, 900, and 90 should all be the same, they have the same screen resolution.

As far as the quality of the F versus the D, the F has twice the resolution (500x240 vs 800x480) so videos look great. The F's screen is a bit dimmer than the D3, however.

Thanks ...

Dimmer? really?... that sucks, i wished the d3 was brighter...... i was so used to the display on the 7800mp that anything else isnt bright and vibrant enough.

How about the quality difference between DIVX and MP4 type. Because from what im hearing, SD card only does MP4 video....

The quality of each just depends on how you encode it. You can have good quality mp4's and bad quality mp4's, and the same goes for divx.

Does anybody know what the best or max bitrate and otgher settings that the F series can handle? Is it the same as the D3 or can it handle higher bitrate ? or is it too early to ask this?

Should be covered in the manual.

is it better or the same as the D3?

is WHAT better or the same? Kind of a vague question.

What is better Mp4 video from the SD card, AVI from the USB ?

The unit only plays AVI's from the DVD drive, and MP4's from an SD card or USB drive. Either will work just fine. I guess it depends on how much data you're talking about. A DVD can hold a certain amount if info, but an SD card or USB drive can hold more.

But sometimes playing videos from the SD or USB source can get laggy at times.

But as far as video quality is concerned, they are both the same. I just depends on how good and at what resolution the video is encoded.

USB video or Ipod video. Could someone upload 2 images showing the quality on the screen? (About the same video of course...)

Seems that using ipod is far more comfortable, however if the USB HDD has better video quality I'd vote for it.

Yes, could someone upload pictures comparing the video... or at least explain the difference, if there is any.. also how does the sound quality compare. I and many other people would GREATLY appreciate it.

thank you

Yes, you can play movies from both the SD card and USB input. I have tested them both myself and they both work. But for some reason video playback from the SD slot seemed a bit laggy to me, but tat may be because the video I was using was a very high resolution and the unit had to resize/shrink it while playing.

I tried some videos with my USB key, and they where not resized, is this a setting or i need to re-encode my video to 800x480 ? Watching small videos is pretty boring...

That's a video resolution issue. You'll have to re-encode the videos to the proper dimensions.
