i have purchaced a new hard drive with better specs for shock and vibration, installed the z3 image but the system keeps rebooting at various times can not seem to find any one thing that could be an external problem any help????
z3 keeps rebooting
it's probably not a toshiba drive.
why would it have to be a toshiba? i looked up the specs on the toshiba hard drive *made for autos*
the drive i got had better specs for vibration and shock control
also i can be sitting still and have the system reboot.
Apparently you have not done much reading around the forum...

I had ordered a Fujitsu with better specs than the toshiba, and it rebooted a few times. Got the Toshiba 60GB auto drive and have not had a problem. So I guess it pays to have toshiba.

I thought about getting a better spec'd drive too, but after all the thread searching and reading, I saw that any drive other than the Toshiba just didn't work. That's why this site is here, to learn from users before us that have tried and tested all the numerous possibilities...
You should try garretmooney's drives..bought 2 so far and worked like a charm
