From WIRE SIDE of small white plug

Mute wire (YEL/BLK) is in upper row, left pin

Move this wire to lower row, 4th pin from the left (empty pin between 2 black wires)

the pin directly below the mute wire does not work

Ground YEL/BLK & LT GRN and you're good to go

You're welcome...

anyone confirm this?

Does this unit has video playback option from the SD card or something ? It will not play video from dvd format so not sure what the by pass is for.

Posted Jun 09, 2008 · 23:03 UTC#4

Yea, this is promising. Someone please confirm this. whtcrxghst can you get on this? :D

I can confirm that I just installed it in a 2006 Audi A4 and it works regardless of how fast you are going.

video from the pioneer/ipod video cable

there is no dvd drive so you get no dvd video (buy the F90BT)

you need to bypass it to use the nav menus without pulling the parking brake

Yea but 15 minutes later it may do something different. This happened a lot when the bypass for the D3 and Z series was being discovered. Not to doubt you but were just looking for a little more verification. Thanks for the input though.

I'll let you know if the customer calls back later with any issues, but we took it on a 45 minute test drive and everything worked fine. And, FWIW, I've been installing since 1990 and work at an authorized XXXXXXX dealer.

Thanks chris!

I'll try it tomorrow and post back to confirm it works in another unit.

The 700 has no gyro, so just grounding the p-brake may work just fine.

Posted Jun 10, 2008 · 02:40 UTC#12

Apparently that has been tried and does not work.

Are you referring to Superjet's bypass or chrisbulla's?

Posted Jun 10, 2008 · 05:14 UTC#14

superjets

Posted Jun 10, 2008 · 05:24 UTC#15

thats the answer i was looking for :D I'll try this bypass when I get mine in and let you guys know if it works.

btw does anyone know where I can get a wire diagram for connecting my Nissan harness to the Pioneer?

Posted Jun 10, 2008 · 14:44 UTC#17

Can anyone confirm that it works?

Posted Jun 10, 2008 · 17:11 UTC#18

customer has not called back with any problems yet...

Posted Jun 10, 2008 · 17:44 UTC#19

I will check to see if this works on my f90 tonight.

Posted Jun 10, 2008 · 17:56 UTC#20

awesome job. if someone can post up a tutorial eventually with pics i'm sure everyone would appreciate it :D

Are you planning to use the steering wheel controls? I'm interested in that for the same vehicle.

Is the bypass workable on the F90bt as well?

Posted Jun 10, 2008 · 21:18 UTC#22

This does not work on the f90bt :(

As soon as you start going more than 10mph it kicks up the warning about video and the nav buttons vanish. They come back every time you come to a stop though.

Frustrating :(

Bummer :(

Scratch that. I am lame and I suck :)

I went and checked again because I couldn't accept it not working. I didn't get the white plug back into the radio fully. All good and bypassed now!

Making progress. Now just need a firmware update and I will be happy.

The bypass does work on the F90bt. I will be doing the one in my wife's car shortly.

Anyone know if I can bypass before I take it to my local car audio installer (do it myself)? I dont wanna have to bypass it after they already have it installed.
