How To Manually Turn on Voice Command?

Is there any way that one could go into the service menu and manually turn on the voice command? I have an Avic N2 with microphone and I cannot seem to get my microphone to be detected(I don't have a voice icon bottom left hand corner).

I have checked the wiring and everything and made sure it was plugged into the Mic Input. Could someone please help? Are there certain buttons on the navi remote that must be pressed in order to activate voice command? When I hit VOICE on my cdvcv1.. nothing happens.

Thanks

Assuming that it works the same as in my Z1, it would appear that your mic plug does not trigger the voice command. Try a different plug but most likely the problem is in the set itself.

ok I just went out and plugged in my vc1. All I did was plug in the microphone and a voice Icon showed up on the screen. I can touch it or press the voice button on the remote and it pops up a set of voice commands (different ones depending what mode i am in) and the girl says "Voice Command" or something to that effect. I say one of the options on the list and BAM its done. Let me say I was so giddy I about soiled myself  This thing is so friken cool it isnt even funny. I dont know what the problem with your unit is. Maybe the mic. Sorry I cant help you at the moment but so far I have not had any issues. Good Luck!
