Thanks! Is this a mirror of the one that's been out for a few weeks, or a new rip of the actual release disc? The one that's been going around doesn't work with the D2 as far as I know, even after tweaking the files with the 70 disc.

Thanks for putting it up, but I tried this one, as well as the east one (also unzipped West with 7zip), and neither work for me. The west generates burn errors using Alcohol or Nero, and the East burns but doesn't get recognized by the AVIC-D3.

Hopefully ya'll have better success than I have. Anyone out there still offering to burn and ship?

I've got a D2 and I tried burning the torrented version to a DVD+R DL disc - no luck on the system taking it. Is it very specific about the media types? I assume that since this is a map update, it needs to run with the new disc, so there's no way to burn it to a single layer. Are people having success with DVD+R DLs?

I've burned this twice now - once with Alcohol and once with IsoMagic, both on Memorex DVD+R DLs and both get the wrong disc error when I throw them in the D2. Not sure what the next thing to try is.

Read the scanned pic above, it seems like you might have to have the cndv-60 before upgrading to the cndv-80?

First I extracted the UIF to ISO. I made a custom background and threw that on there too. Then I burned the ISO to DVD. The ISO looks valid and various programs have no problems reading the files on it, but in the car, I just get that error on startup and that's it.

You don't have to do anything special with the DVD, right? Insert DVD, turn car off and back on, and wait for bootup, right?

I didn't do anything other than change the burn speed to 4x in Alcohol 120. I also extracted with 7z, both were the free trial versions. I did here of problems with WinZip and Winrar not being updated versions.

 

Is your D2, or was it currently using the 60 series disc? There might be a problem with upgrading from 70 to 80 on those units.

I can't imagine the extraction is causing the problem - just sounds a bit far fetched. I did hear someone talking about the idea that the upgrade might not work from the 70 series. Can you downgrade? I've never tried. I could throw the 60 series disc in and see what happens but I've been running the 70 series for some time.

Other people with problems - are you all running 70 series? Did anyone with 70 series make it work?

i tried it....my d2 has the orig. 60 series discs and it did not work. i verified that the discs were burned correctly on my friend's d3 and they do work. i guess its not the right one for the d1 and d2

Which server are you trying to download from?

I am downloading from FTP directory /2008%20West/ at 24.43.156.22. Is there anyway to download all at once or do you have to download one at a time?

Dang too many people logged on right now and I can't get on. I'll have to try this again later tonight I guess.
