I really dont get it any more, i downloaded the West disc on the First page and burned it on a Philips DVD+R DL. I burned it twice with 2 different programs: Nero and power iso. I also checked the option verify after burn. Every thing went succesfully but when i put it in my Pioneer Avic-D3 it wont read. It says please put in the correct DVD. Did i download the wrong disc ?
I life in Netherlands so thats why i want the West disc. But i also see several links shatterd over this topic. honestly dont know what the diffrence is. Like i said in the beginning i downloaded the west disc on the first page here. And i have a Pioneer Avic-D3 please help me out here. I running out of Philips DVD+R DL

Also I have already downloaded from this FTP and Install it working Perfect for me without having any Issues. Both East & West I have Verbatim +R DL DVD and Burner is through Nero as a UDF which are the Presets for nero and everything went good I insert the DVD it reads & updated my system everything is working fine so far ..

thanks fez... i have downloaded both of those . and they do not work . on my d-3. error message comes up. i just went down and bought a new 90bt, yesterday. so i have an AVIC-D3 for sale. i bought it last april ... nothing wrong with it......... and a cd/dvd player which plugs into the d-3 and works great. i just wanted to upgrade.

k so i am downloading the west maps i am just wondering if this is the original disk? i bought the HU off a friend and dont have the actual dvds that came with the deck itself and what type of disk do i need to burn this file to? thanks for the help!!
If they are working correctly, then please tell me the ISO image sizes that you are burning. Neither of the 2 in the downloads or that can be assembled from the rar's creates the correct ISO size.
So that would make it impossible to work correctly. SO either we have different downloads, or you are trying to get people to download the disks to trash their units. Please advise which one it is.
The downloads trashed my unit when the software update started after inserting the disk, that caused the unit to be unresponsive. I was able to jump start it using an N5 disk, but it is missing features that are on my D2 that are not on the N5. (By the way, if anyone needs N5, this is what started this whole mess, I bought a set of disks for $60 and received N5 instead of 80MT, and that is why I came here to try to find the right images).
In the mean time if anyone has WORKING 80MT images, please let me know. I would like get my unit back in full operation.

Downloaded West yesterday and it works perfect! Took about 10 minutes to download and about 25 to burn using Toast. Thanks!!!
go go, if you live in the netherlands, the west disc or the east disc may not work, these are north american only dvds, with region 1 coding, so that may be why your d3 is rejecting it.

hey guys, i aswell missed up putting the 3.9 gb disc on my D-3 and i tried already the up, right up right down right down right thing but i think im missing something or thats not the right paswoord cause i can't get on the servic menu help please!!!!

I tired to do the downgraded posted by another member as my d3 is fubar right now. When i use my remote to go up right up right down right down right it doesn't work with the toggle. It just sits there and says please reset. What am I doing wrong? It really sucks not having music while your driving.
hey i got cha i was on that boat 3 days ago FOR D-3 PEOPLE THE CODE IS 81 83 72 08 (i got it memorized by now) i really hope thedowngrade works for you budd , as for me im screwed in everysingle way , that stupid wrong download of 3.9 gb bricked my unit maybe fried something inside as well, gotta send it back to reflash (if anyone know how to reflash the NG message on thegps progamming please let me know lol)... $200 for pioneer, if you instaled the 3.9 gb by mistake people DO NOT TRY INSTALLING THE 7.9 GB RIGHT AFTER!!!! downgrade first to the 70 version, then in you have the balls try the 7.9 well burned lol i wish i would've read all the posts before i burned that danm 3.9

I am in the same boat as you dude. I have that exact same NG message. What does that mean? I really hope I do not have to take my deck out. I drive an Acura TL it was a mission to get it in there now to take it out. Damn! I really should have read the rest of the posts before jumping the gun!
ng (no good?) it just means in general the unit has to be programed hooked up to a computer with special software ( pioneer itself) i already try founding that software and hook it up to my computer but was a waste of a full day on the web no torrents nor pirate websites no limewire nothing, i have one more hope today im gonna install Nero 9 in my computer ( i burned with toshiba factory defoult before) on a memorex +DL which is what most people has used here and worked, i'll try it again and if that doesnt work my unit is out to pioneer, man i know i gotta tear all the custom crap on my bemmer as well.. any ideas guys ?? sujestions to fix problem welcome! oh yeah people with the issue what program did you use to burn the second dvd the good one?
