How do I disable the speed warning voice message in my 700bt?

Posted Oct 30, 2008 · 00:41 UTC#2

Read the manual and turn it off...

Posted Oct 30, 2008 · 16:05 UTC#3

i did not see it...that is why we have a forum duh

Posted Oct 30, 2008 · 18:14 UTC#4

Duh. We do not have the forum so that people who can not be bothered to either read the manual or spend 5 minutes looking for options on the screen could waste time asking the same question a zillion times when the answer is right in front of their face...

The POST button isn't here for you to ask questions without having

1) Read the fine manual

2) Used the search button

Please try again

the amount of time you took to answer why you could not answer, was longer than to tell me.

i did look....i have a hard copy manual...how can i search?

one of these days you will get stuck, and i will remind you.

Posted Oct 30, 2008 · 20:47 UTC#7

i found it--but you guys were asses.

you could have said download the manual and search that way.

the manual is 143 pages...so telling someone go look is acting like an ass

Watch it, between this and your last post calling people asses, you're making YOURSELF look like an ass.

Yeah.....I wouldn't have looked for "Speed Warning" under the "Warning Settings" either............

Posted Oct 30, 2008 · 23:19 UTC#11

Can't we all just get along ?

Posted Oct 31, 2008 · 05:56 UTC#12

I thought most people who use forums would know about RTFM before they post.

Posted Oct 31, 2008 · 16:55 UTC#13

Your like predators. If you think someone should know an answer, then don't respond. Your response takes longer than an answer.

Do they?

Blackdog...people on forums get angry when others come around and ask questions that are so easily looked up and answered. With the 2.0 FW update, you got a digital version of the manual, which is also available from Crutchfield.com...Open that and search "speed warning" which was the topic of your thread, and you'll find it (Page 129). There is no excuse for this level of incompetence. I understand how it feels to be flamed, but you deserved it, much like I did when I didn't read the update instructions and didn't download the bluetooth update.

Get over it, and lets all move along.

I do agree though, a lot of you people on here are ignorant. :?

Posted Nov 01, 2008 · 16:44 UTC#17

I don't think most are ignorant, just LAZY!

Posted Nov 01, 2008 · 17:33 UTC#18

I can see it now... The next manual that comes out will have in big bold letters

"SEE AVIC411 for instruction from how to turn on the unit to teaching your grandma to use the device"

lol

I'm glad someone took the time out to create this forum. It's a privilege to be apart of it!

I will take any of you "know it alls" for a ride in my plane, and then tell you to read the manual to land it. We shall see how smart you are.

The manual is 188 pages, so telling anybody to simply read the manual is no simple process.

Stop being arrogant. If you feel the answer is to easy, then simply shut up, or be nice and answer.

You GPS heroes are so arrogant. Get a life.

So u fly a plane, and have never heard of a index or toc? Come on now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. This isn't a f-n plane!

Posted Nov 01, 2008 · 17:56 UTC#21
blah blah blah a ride in my plane, and then tell you to read the manual to land it

I kind of found the analogy between being an amateur pilot trying to land a plane with everyones life in their incapable hands and asking questions about a car navigation device without first having done any research a bit out of balance.

and further, I find it hard to believe someone as hot-tempered and lazy as yourself owning their own airplane.

blackdog69, stop now, you made your point as has everyone else, it only gets worse from here and will probably result in this thread being locked if it continues to get anymore offensive. Just move on please.

The manual is soo long and I don't want to read it!!!!! WAAAAAH

Then don't buy a technical item if you're not willing to use the tools available to learn how to use it. Take it out of your dash, and flush it down the toilet. That is after you post on www.toilet411.com on how to flush.

(EDIT) And i didn't tell you to simply read it, I told you to search the DIGITAL file you were given by Pioneer. It's a 2-second process as I demonstrated above. Also, as demonstrated by the post above, it's in the Table Of Contents!
