I had the same problem as everyone else with Samantha TTS disappearing with the release prior to 2.0 (only had the unit 2 months anyway). Pioneer said to send it to them, I ignored it for a while know it is a software bug. Then a Pioneer rep said 2.0 was coming out to try that. It didn't work Then I came upon this great forum I went through the testmode and deleted the TTS files as in the link http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=tts

When it restarted it was stuck on "waiting for sytem to start". I had to go back into testmode and copy the TTS files back. Now Samantha's voice and TTS is back even though it still says Jason in both setup areas. If I try to add TTS it does nothing (shows Samantha and a French and Spanish TTS -selecting any just bumps back a menu and keeps Jason)... Does anyone know how to get rid of this glitch? Even though it plays Samantha's voice the setup does not show it properly. Also does anyone know how to add othet TTS voices? Somehow 2.0 added Claire (Dutch TTS) and I see it in the \APL2\IGO\CONTENT\voice folder - tried adding new ones there but nogo.
