Hey now, give Brit some respect! 8)

For what, her bad music, her horrible parenting skills, or her atrocous haircut?

These look REALLY close to what I used!

Yeah, that looks like it WOULD work - I didn't see anything like that at Home Depot - there were hose washers all right, but they all were red/pink...

I guess I'll check out Lowe's and Target, etc. too :)

How did it go? did you find anything? That specific one at lowes was a complete bust so ill try home depot and let you guys know the product/model number when i find it.

For the fact that she is one of the biggest stars to ever grace the pop music scene my man... love her or hate her, she is legendary.

i used the round washer from home depot, it was a pain in the a$$ to get it on but in the end, it was well worth it. ill take some pics and post exactly what i used. they come 10 in a pack, $1.98.

if anyone is in the boston area, i can slap them on ur knob for u (please refrain from the jokes).

Posted Dec 12, 2008 · 20:27 UTC#31

Just found these at Walmart. I like this one a little bit better because the rubber is a little bit softer. The key to the size is using a standard hose or faucet washer. It was a lot easier to put on the knob as well.

Here is my solution. I made a new knob out of Stainless. Works great.

i got a #8 o-ring 9/16"OD x 3/8" ID from home depot. it looks pretty small but stretches out to fit perfectly.

I like that!

The stainless looks great! I'd like to have that but add a knurled rubber inset into the knob so that you could grip it well. . .

How in the world did you make the knob? Or is it from another piece of equipment?

I'm a machinist. It took about 15 minutes on a lathe. I wanted to put a knurled grippy surface on it but it works perfect like it is so I left it.

I will post a drawing when I get a minute in case anyone knows a friend that has a machine shop. It's very easy to make out of a solid bar of stainless.

Here is how the knob works for the F90BT I think I made the overall size about .860 and the old knob is about .800 so it's not much bigger than stock. It's about .300 thick.

Cool! I'm going to run out to my fully equipped machine shop and whip one up real quick. . . not! You may have a market for these little guys. . . as there are most likely very few members here that have access to the equipment and or skill to create one of these.

Thomas,

If you end up making a few of these for your fellow avic lovers, I would be very interested in a replacement knob. :)

Posted Dec 13, 2008 · 23:32 UTC#42

I'll take one for $10.00

Nice job!! So can you inscribe it with our favorite design as well? (for extra of course) Maybe you can sell these to Pioneer as well!
