Anyone have any issues with placing it far forward on the dash in a pickup? Are there any other optimal (internal) locations you suggest?

I installed mine in the same location, but just under the the dash... Like in tis Tut.... of course every truck is different...

Mine is installed under the dash in my dodge ram. I attached the small metal plate to the top of the hard plastic defrost vent. I get all sats.
