Hey guys,

I'm not exactly what anyone would call an "artist" by nature. I'm a designer, alignment, using illustrator to create icon frames, and photoshop to come up with the final output.

Unfortunately my version of photoshops at 5.0 which is missing alot of the transparency masking stuff which is used for many icons. I did download the 30 day Photoshop cs4 trial and would be willing to help make any icons you guys may need for the theme. I've already done a few for my own wall paper and have a template all set up so all that needs to be done is to change the background color & insert a new icon.

Here are some pics of the stuff I've done:

Ok Guys. I took the Icons that the poster made and did a great with however it was bothering me that there was no floor on the main images. I am on Mac and have tried 100 ways to save these files in the 7zip file and rename it to image.res with no success. Can anyone take these and zip them for me and everyone else.

well fellas... this is a huge undertaking and i'm thinking it might not even be possible because of the limitation i've run into making this a COMPLETE theme

I love the look of my ipod touch and have started to change things based on that... I found a design scheme for everything iphone related and I've been working from that... I'll send screens soon

I hope this psd helps people that are like me

Well since you are going with Apple there why not use something from OS X.

thought about it

not gonna work since there's just a arrow

no capsule that scrolls so it needs to be a large arrow of sorts

Posted Feb 18, 2009 · 13:14 UTC#34

Well I didn't mean to replicate it exactly, just do something close to that to fit in with the rest.

I guess the Arrow there means "Page Up" and "Page Down", is there anything in Apple for that purpose? Probably << and >> is the most common one.

Thanks for the hard work and I'm really looking forward for the complete theme from you. :)

Which image is the background for the main menu (Destination, Contacts and AV Source)?

Posted Feb 18, 2009 · 20:31 UTC#37

From what I've read there is none for firmware 2.0... and I've tried throwing the image in there and it doesn't do anything so I'm thinking it may not be possible

Posted Feb 18, 2009 · 20:41 UTC#38

What about the file that controls the content of the main menu?

Posted Feb 18, 2009 · 22:14 UTC#39

I have no idea how to edit that, if anyone has an idea that would be awesome

Posted Feb 19, 2009 · 00:07 UTC#40

Yes, if anyone knows please post up. That's what is stopping me from working anything. I just can't stand that plain looking main menu. There are 3 background images in that folder so there has to be a way to use them.

here you go man,

I'm in the home stretch... unfortunately that's the worst part on this. A lot of running to my car just to find out something isn't the right size (button replacements) you'll see what I'm sayin. I have some ideas and I'll post screens soon to demonstrate.

I'm not sure how set I am on the new home icons, more iphone

You'll notice some stuff isn't right and I'm working on it... let me know your progress, thankful for help

even with it not 100% finished it's still the most complete revamp of anything I've seen. Thanks for all the contributors.

Are you asking where are the 3 Main Icon files?

Posted Feb 20, 2009 · 00:19 UTC#47

I guess I misunderstood. But is there a data.zip and other files along with instructions to get this aPPLE THEME?

Thanks

No, the .ui file that controls the layout of that main menu. Basically what I'm trying to do is figure out if placing the background behind the icons is possible.

Sorry, I am a bit slow. What exactly do I need to copy to get the Apple Theme?
