If you get a scheme that has files referenced that don't exist in your data.zip, you'll get a reboot loop. All you need to do is delete THAT scheme under apl2\igo\content\scheme and it will revert to the last used scheme and boot fine.

It's also safe to just delete everything under user\userdata as any file error in there will cause a reboot loop. This will nuke all saved favorites, home address, history, phonebook, EQ curves, etc. The avic will be like the day you first installed it.

it will revert back to pioneer colorschemes and wallpaper, but any custom schemes and skins will still be installed including the data.zip.

Again minifreezer, YOU ARE THE MAN!!!

Thank you very much, it really works, a deleted all my flash drive files and paste your files (that I donwloaded form rapidshare), and now works great!

Good as new!

Here goes my advice be careful with the schemes, my problem started when I downloaded those files and changed my map colors, after this the system shuts down and starts to reboot, just to be sure I did it twice!!

Thank you all again for the atencion specialy minifreezer, you save many stereos here!

Hey man i got lucky and dl'ed those files from the ftp site before it went down. I just posted them on rapidshare because i noticed alot people were asking for them. Anyways glad i could help and happy that it worked for you.

Since the f90bt and the f900bt don't have any hardware differences, this backup should work on the f900bt?

Posted May 08, 2009 · 20:33 UTC#29

Apart from the amp preout voltage differences....

Posted May 08, 2009 · 21:24 UTC#30

Sorry I should have been a bit clearer. I meant differences in hardware the O/S controls.

i think 1 million dollars will convince him nicely but not a penny more! send him a pay pal

I accept, :D just no monopoly money please... It took all night to get the files from the card to my PC, due to my cheap a$$ card reader and most of the next night to get it up to the share site.

All files are in the same directory structure as they came off the machine, so if you only need one file, you can just get the one file you need and not be forced into downloading a 1.6Gb zip file.

At this point, I'm not asking for anything, but I'm obviously not going to reject any voluntary offers to offset my time and effort to make it available.

Are the files still on the server? If so, I sure could use the link. I'd be glad to paypal you a little something for your time.

I'm working on a complete backup of a 700 series V2.0 unit. I don't know what differences there are between the two. I'm guessing that they're minimal since my screen shows the link for MSN (just greyed out). If there's enough interest, I may be convinced to put a copy out on rapidshare.

I recently tried to restore my F700 from my original back-up and have been plagued with problems. I archived/restored the backup on a Mac, and think this might have something to do with it.

Have you had a chance to finish your full back-up? I'd like to see if it'll fix my issues. Thanks.

Hello,

If anyone could help me out I'm looking for a full backup for a 900BT. Will the 90 backup work? I've seen mixed answers on this.

Posted May 19, 2009 · 14:10 UTC#35

Dumb question... is the software different for units shipped to different countries? If so... will this work with my unit? (N. American)

Posted Jun 08, 2009 · 06:17 UTC#37

Those files came from a US unit.

Anyone know if the f900 or f90 backup files can be used for the f700? I can't find the f700 backup files anywhere...

I have a backup of a 2.0 F700. PM your email address to me and I'll get you access.

i have backedup all of original files of the flashdisk of my F90BT with version 2.0 preloaded. if you still need the files, i can burn the files out onto CD's and mail it to you. just let me know :)

Posted Jul 08, 2009 · 22:05 UTC#42

Any chance those F700 files are still on the server?

OMG THANK YOU!!! This is a MUCH MORE EFFICIENT AND FOCUSED solution to this problem. I'm so glad I didn't have to download like 20 files from rapidsex and reimage the unit.

My story:

My unit started into a really nasty reboot loop after I started a route and muted the navi, then turned off my car hoping to resume the navigation. I was able to get to the FM radio, but everything else did not function and it continued to "reboot"

I fixed the reboot loop by going into testmode and deleting the files under "apl2\igo\content\scheme" and also the "save" folder under userdata in the iGO folder. I think this cleared the previous route that confused the system. By clearing this out, my unit booted up as normal.

Once again THANK YOU cmh928!

I really need the back up for the f700bt series! Can anyone PM me with it?!

Posted Apr 21, 2010 · 01:50 UTC#46

Does anyone know if there is a disk image of the entire 700bt hard drive out there anywhere? My unit will get to CE via testmode, but reboots after about 1 second, so I can't copy or delete any files. Without test mode, it gets to the splash screen, then reboots after about 10 seconds. I would love to just pull the drive and install a whole new image, but I can't find a disk image of the original drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I downloaded the 17 files from Rapidshare. Now how do I integrate them together so I can load them onto my F90BT? I tried extracting the files to a single folder but WinZip keeps telling me that there are duplicate files already in the folder.

i.e. I extracted the first .rar file and then tried extracting the second .rar file and it's telling me there are files that already exist with the same name. Do I overwrite them? or what?

Thanks in advance for anyones help. I'm in dire need of my stereo/gps.

Posted Jun 08, 2010 · 00:59 UTC#48

You don't have to unRAR all of them. Just do the first folder and it will grab all of the files from the remaining folders as well.

Posted Jun 08, 2010 · 15:33 UTC#49

Great! Thanks a lot. I'll give it another shot.

Posted Jun 17, 2010 · 01:26 UTC#50

Thanks to all, I just got it back up and running!!!!
