For 8.3.x I think they are, the latest I have for that is 2008.2 for 8.0 I'm getting ready to post the 2008.10 maps, building and POI files

Yes, 2008.04 are the latest maps for iGo 8.0. Check this thread viewtopic.php?f=34&t=22251&start=45.

Maps I have after testing are 2008.10 TeleAtlas for 8.3.x IGO versions, not the 8.0 version. However the POI and Building files work fine in the 8.0

Excuse my ignorance. Bit confused. How do i tell what maps(version) i have and which of the newest maps to DL?

Thanks. Mine is way out of date i think. Says 2007.xx next to every map.

So that leads me to this. Where/how do i get the latest maps? And which version? 8.0 or iGo or whatever? I have the latest firmware 2.0 and GTiMats DATAzip mod. Thats all I've done.

ya newest i found for download for the 8.0 stuff was 2008.4 which i got from gpsunderground.com - there was links posted - i know i had some trouble finding rar13 but got it if you have probs.

Now what do i do with them? DL them. Unpack them? And put them where? Sorry for all the questions.

BorisM just explained this to me as well:

Folder structure for iGO 8.0 is the same as for iGO 8.3 except that the installation directory is APL2\IGO.

So:

APL2\igo\content\building\(*.3dl & *.3dc files)

APL2\igo\content\dem\(*.dem files)

APL2\igo\content\map\(*.fbl files)

APL2\igo\content\poi\(*.poi files)

...and if you want them

APL2\igo\content\phoneme\(*.ph files)

APL2\igo\content\speedcam\(*.txt speedcamera files)

Pretty much just use testmode to copy the files over and replace the old ones.

Havent opened any of the files(above). Still DL'ing. But they are just the maps right? Buildings, POI, etc arent included in them?

They should have Maps, buildings and poi's. At least that is what I've seen in the past.

Also, I found a license file on here, Asbis_PNA_EEU@0807_(NNG+TA,_WEUMRE)_ASBISGPS450.lic that I hope is the one I should use. I'll give it a shot.

Hopefully an expert will chime in, but I think you need a hacked EZrider.exe and additional license files in order to use different maps and make buildings visible.

Well, added all the maps and nothing shows up on screen. Can see the arrow but otherwise the screen is just green. No roads or anything. Anybody have any ideas? Do i need a different license file?

Yup, good indication that you either didn't copy a hacked EZRider, or, if you did, don't have a license that works with these maps...

How do i go about getting one that does? What is EZRider and how do i get it?

I got my license file from the following ir.zip

This ZIP-file contains several files, but we need just one: EZRIDER.exe and license file. Included license for Europe only, but you can use either license files.

You may need the EZRider.exe included in the ir.zip too... but don't use that until somebody else says so for sure.

anyone else getting corrupt or broken files when extracting from megaupload?
