My Z2 screen will not close all the way if I open it. After I press the eject button, the screen will open. When I put CD in, screen will close half way and stop. then the unit freezes. If I push the screen slightly when it is closing, then the screen closes all the way. Anyone got a fix to this?
well, after researching, and reading post> viewtopic.php?f=19&t=23674, I did more inspection under the unit. Seems the long rail with the teeth is off the track. Seems some tab is broken off. I need to replace it at a minimum. Where can I get this part from ? anyone have a partnumber? thanks.
The part you need is called RACK and the part number is CZN7014 and cost $16.95. It is currently back ordered until the end of the month:

I have repaired 2 of these by reusing the exisiting rack with 2 of the 4 'tabs' broken. I am not a repair shop, but just helping friends. Taking it apart and reintalling the broken rack has worked in the past, so you may give it a shot as a temp fix until you can get the part.
