Well, you are in luck...

I noticed that a lot of folks jump this rather critical step in hacking their AVIC. There are several threads on here where you can find them, but some require you to register on the site (and pay for it in some cases) in order to get the files in a timely fashion.

I have a hosted account with unlimited bandwidth, so I've decided to help out.

ftp://backup.turboss.com

You will find the F90BT files in RAR format (big thanks to Minifreezer). If you have files to other AVIC units, please contact me and I will upload them there for anyone that needs them. I am not sure how fast (or slow) this will be, but like I said it is unlimited bandwidth so they'll be there indefinitely.

Thanks bro, this helps many of us out! Should probably be a sticky and/or included in the wiki! Still no excuse for those to not backup their own info but a priceless download here for those who didnt backup and now fu$ked up their unit.

Man thanks for postiing the files. I put mine on rapidshare only because someone needed them and that was the only way at the time i could make the files available. I have not check out the link yet but if you want me to instead of haveing multible rar files i can make it one big file and upload it to you if that would be easier for everyone.

No problem guys! Another member on here has offered to upload the F900BT OS, so there is a folder on there for that as well that will have that. I'll host any AVIC OS on there, or even any hacks that someone makes.

I figure that some guys might back up their systems, but sometimes things get lost. It happens, and it would suck to have to go back to Pioneer in order to have your unit fixed. This board is an invaluable resource to those that have an AVIC and want more out of the unit.

Minifreezer - You should be able to upload right to that folder. If you can't, let me know. :)

Thank you VERY MUCH!!

No problem! I have a couple of people volunteering to upload the F900BT and F700BT collections, so that should be up there soon as well.

Huge thanks to Doogie for the F900BT files, and to dk421 for the F700BT files. You can now get all three of these from the site listed in the first post. No need to register or anything; just login and download.

Can anyone add F500BT?

Posted Jun 10, 2009 · 13:35 UTC#9

The f700bt is up. 17 100MB zip files. Was the 1.xx firmware at the time. Hope it's usefull

Thank you for hosting it.

I have never used winrar. Is that the easiest tool or is there a better/easier one?

Posted Jun 10, 2009 · 23:41 UTC#11

The RAR compression system is nice because it allows for separate files instead of one large file. Downloading the files individually is nice in case the download fails you don't need to grab the whole thing again; just the piece you didn't get.

When you decompress it, it will decompress it in sequence automatically giving you the files and folders just like when they were compressed.

This working for everyone? :)

Thanks for sharing those images!

I was able to download the F700 image and extract it fine (I haven't installed my deck into my car yet, so I can't do my own backup).

I was following the OS Emulation tutorial in the AVICWiki and when I select "Navi", a blank window comes up with the words "NaviMain" on it and nothing else. When I click on "MainMenu" and go to "Destination", it just hangs there after I press "OK". I'm not sure if that's result of a bad image or if I've configured the emulator incorrectly.

You can try the F90BT backup to see if it is corrupted files. I know for a fact the 90 backup files are good (had to use them  )

It seems as if the f700 files are no longer there - wondering if they are still on the server or if I should re upload them?

Posted Jun 23, 2009 · 20:41 UTC#16

minifreezer: I'm going to try the F90BT files and see if that works. Really, all I want to do is play with some customizations while I wait for the parts for my install to come in.

I can upload the F700BT 2.0 image once I have my deck installed if anyone wants it....

Well this way if you get the same issue with the f90 files you know that the other backup you DLed is not corrupt, but the emulator can not run it or the setting are wrong. Good luck

Can you install the US version of F900BT on an European Unit?

Posted Jun 25, 2009 · 21:43 UTC#19

nope, I actually read the forums and heeded the advice that EVERY SINGLE modder had. Backup entire thing first, read, read a bit more, understand what I was getting in to, then modded my device.

Did anyone get any errors while using the 90 bt files?

Im getting a message that says that the files are too big to fit on "My Flash Disk" Whats going on?

Can anyone please re-upload the F700 files? They don't show up on the site. Anyone know if the F900 or F90 backup files can be used for the F700?
