So I am not really sure if I completely screwed my unit over but it seems like I have. I cant boot my navi..it boots up and as soon as its about to show the menu screen its black. I cant get into test mode because after the files have been copied the screen turns black as well.. What can I do? Any ideas are greatly appriciated as I have no music or navi in my car now.

Some suggestions (Disclaimer: I'm still learning and more knowledgeable people will ikely post soon)

try searching about uboot and black screen.

There are a lot on how to get to the service uboot menu and what others have done to try to fix the reboot/black screen issues.

This is just one of a few of them:

Though this could get pretty complicated and likely get in areas that, if done incorrectly, could brick your unit...

Others: Please feel free to correct anything stated above...

Thx,

Ben

What mods were you doing before it happened? What mods total?

thanks so much for the reply I really appreciate it and I have been searching this forum. So my unit is not bricked at the state that it is in is it?

I don't believe it is.

I'm not sure if it would cause more issues than not, but some have tried to reinstall the 2.0 firmware from the pioneer site and it restored their testmode/normal booting. It has fixed certain issues with it before. (Even some that couldn't get into test mode fully).

Thx,

Ben

I just reloaded my LUPE080 on my SD card and I got fully into test mode. The only problem now is I still cant get my unit to boot regularly. Any ideas?

EDIT: I have done the software parking brake mod sucessfully. I was trying to do the mute voice button mod when all of this happened.

Under My Flash Disk I have:

APL2

Extra Dump Files

User

and then 7 other files.

I am pretty sure Im just missing the LPUE080, just not sure where it goes.

Is this correct? I was stupid not to back my stuff up, in the future I will.

I got it loaded but I am missing a crap load of files.. so the "startup in progress" thing never goes away, no key beeps, amongst other things.

Can anyone tell me where I can get the complete files in "My Flash Disk"? They dont differ from 90bt unit to the next 90 bt unit do they? Thanks for all previous responses.

It's currently about eight threads down. I'm surprised you didn't see it.

The "MY Flash Disk" is about 1.7 gb. Maps are about 1 gig of that. You can't pick and choose at this point since you have no idea what you're really missing. D/L a whole set and go from there.

There's always a chance depending on your skills that you may never get it to boot again. Then your only prayer is that Pioneer will take care of it for you.

Good Luck. I'm over and out for tonight.
