Basically i want to remove the map legend, both of the "ft", and the "time until destination" only when im not in route with navigation assistance. Which file is it in and where do i comment it out? See the upload .jpg below. I couldnt find an answer with the forum search. thanks!!

Bump. I am also interested in this mod. I searched the navgiatemap_800_480.ui file but I'm not sure where to even begin.

Not offhand -- I'm not running 3.0 yet, but since this is the area with configurable info, which is hidden in full screen cockpit mode, I think it is the ui_RouteinfoBackground layer.
Well ui_RouteInfoBackground is just for the blue box background. I was able to successfully remove those when a route was not present, now I just have to find a way to remove the text and ruler.

On page 3 I describe how to eliminate the box and info. I will figure out how to get rid of the ruler tomorrow and I will post that in the above thread also, so keep checking!
