So I was going to do the 3.0 upgrade, got all the files i needed, first thing I did was upgrade the WinCE. All went fine in the service mode, but now my GPS only starts up for 2 seconds before it shuts off, I can get back into service mode but not test mode using the new test files or the old.
The only thing I can think of is to reflash the WinCE back, only thing is I cant find the files to do so anywhere.
Can someone direct me to the WinCE files? Thanks!

Once you have your F500BT recovered, if you still want to spend a bit more time on research on 3.0, I suggest you to try out this method:
1. Make a full backup if you haven't done so.
2. Copy all the APLs from the 3.0 package to your "My Flash Drive" including those files on the root, except the two WINCE files, also add your orginal license file to the APL2\Igo8\License folder, but don't delete the license file from the 3.0 package
After this stage, you system will not be able to boot up, but will be able to boot into TestMode or Service Mode
3. Upgrade WinCe with the image files from 3.0 package.

If I'm not mistaken, the F500 wince image is different from the F700/F900 one (hardware differences), and so it is not recommended to flash it. Better get the specific F500 3.0 update or wait for someone to share it..
Just completed the f500 upgrade (Version 2.06). Specific to the F500. This was released at the end of June. I don't believe the 3.0 upgrade for the f700 etc is compatable with the F500. The F500 upgrade has improved boot up time, touch screen is also quicker and the green semi transparent direction boxes have been deleted in map mode, to name a few improvements. It was also very easy to do.
